Consumer Health Data notice
Last updated October 29, 2026
What this covers
This notice explains how LoveAllergy handles consumer health data, as Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada's consumer health data law and similar state laws define it. It adds to our Privacy policy.
The health data we collect
- What you can't be near: foods and things around you, such as peanuts, perfume or cats.
- How severe each one is for you.
- What's in your home, and your kitchen and kiss rules, including any rule you write.
- Exposure notes you log in a match, and the timer that follows.
- How well you fit other members, which we work out from all of the above.
Where it comes from
From you, when you set up or change your profile and when you log an exposure. We don't buy health data or get it from anyone else.
Why we collect it and how we use it
To show you only people whose homes and habits fit your allergies, to show your rules to the people you might meet, and to run the vow and the exposure timer. We don't use it for ads, we don't sell it, and we don't use it to make decisions about you outside LoveAllergy.
Selling
We don't sell consumer health data. We won't sell it unless you first give us a separate, signed authorization, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can confirm whether we collect your health data, see it, get a list of who we've shared it with, and delete it. You can also withdraw your consent, which means deleting the data, because LoveAllergy can't match you without it.
- See it and get a copy: under Me, Download my data.
- Change it: on the Me page, under What I avoid and My home.
- Delete it: under Me, Delete my account. It happens straight away.
- Anything else: Contact, then pick Privacy. We answer within 45 days.
If we turn down a request, reply and ask us to look again, and a different review will answer within 45 days. If you're still not satisfied, you can contact your state attorney general.
